Past meetings
The last meeting of the group was on Thursday 17th June 2010. There was a very good turn out it was noted that there was a healthy exchange of views between members of the group during the breaks. We believe this to be one of the important features of our meetings. Robin gave a presentation on “Living and coping with an ICD” based on recent papers from the American Association. These papers address the lifestyle issues of coping with and ICD and interestingly addresses it from the cares point of view as well. Please e-mail me if you would like a copy of the presentation. On the 18th February we held a social lunch at the Wheatstone Inn, Gloucester. It was very well attended and provided the opportunity for plenty of discussion and to meet Audra, our new Arrhythmia Nurse serving Gloucestershire Hospitals. Our 2nd meeting on the 11th October 2007 was very well attended and feedback so far is most encouraging. Notes of the 11th October 2007 meeting.
We had our 1st meeting on the 14th June 2007 with its prime purpose to see if there was enough support to form a group and equally important, what do members of the group want from it. We were surprised at the support we received and indeed the issues that members would like addressed. For further details of that meeting are available in PDF format.
